Days 1 & 2: Denver
Arrive into Denver where we suggest 2 nights. Visit attractions such as Red Rocks Park and Lookout Mountain (gravesite of Buffalo Bill Cody).
Two nights Denver
Days 3, 4 & 5: Gateway Canyon
Drive through the mountains of Colorado, past the winter play-resorts of Breckenridge, Keystone and Vail. You will pass through the beautiful Glenwood Canyon and continue to follow the Colorado River to Grand Junction. Explore the Colorado National Monument, visit wineries and learn about the Prehistoric Dinosaur history of the region. Spend 3 nights at a luxury new resort where Kayaking, fishing, hiking and horseriding are on offer. Or simply relax by the pool
Three nights Gateway Canyon
Days 6, 7 & 8: Moab
Drive into Utah, again following the Colorado River as it journeys into the more desert terrain. Situated along the Colorado River, you will also find optional activities such as river rafting, horseback riding, fishing, jeep touring and jetboat touring. Explore the scenery of Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. Here we would suggest staying in a ranch located on the river banks.
Three nights Moab
Days 9 &10: Ridgway
Today we suggest more touring in the southern regions of the Canyonlands Park (Needles District) before returning to Colorado and on to the area of Ridgway. Here you will find an area of hot springs. Explore the communities of Ouray and Telluride. Spend 2 nights in the area.
Two nights Ridgway
Days 11 & 12: Durango
Drive to the Mesa Verde National Park. Tour the historic cliff dwellings of the Anasazi Indians. Drive on to Durango for a two-night in this former mining community. Enjoy a trip on the Silverton Narrow Gauge Railway.
Two nights Durango
Days 13 & 14: Manitou Springs
Drive past the Great Sand Dunes National Park near to Alamosa. Then continue through the San Luis Valley north, following the Arkansas River to the Royal Gorge and on into the city of Colorado Springs. Attractions here include Rail to the top of Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods, US Olympic Training Centre, Cave of the Winds and Seven Falls. You may wish to take a drive around Pikes Peak to the gaming town of Cripple Creek.
Two nights Manitou Springs
Day 15: Denver
