The Great Ice Bear Adventure
The Great Ice Bear adventure takes place in prime polar bear season in October and November. This is the time when polar bears congregate in large numbers on the coast of the Hudson Bay as they wait for the Bay to freeze so that they can begin their annual hunt.
Get this close!!
The Great Ice Bear adventure combines 4 days at a wilderness lodge where many of the Arctic’s most famous residents are seen and photographed on foot or from the Lodge, with one day in Churchill on a buggy tour. Since starting out 20 years ago they have added new Lodges and safaris to their repertoire of polar bear adventures. A recent addition is the Mothers and Cubs adventure at Nanuk Polar Bear Lodge.
Northern Manitoba is one of the most pristine wilderness areas left in the world. Only a two-hour plane journey north of Winnipeg lays the coastline of Hudson Bay – an area so remote that it hasn’t changed in thousands of years. During your breathtaking flight east from Gillam to the Nanuk Polar Bear Lodge you will fly over the Northern Taiga Forest and follow the mighty Nelson River to the plains and tidal flats of Hudson Bay.
We have just received a Fantastic offer from Great Ice Bear Adventures – any guests who book the Great Ice Bear Adventure in 2013 will be entered to win a trip for two to Nanuk Polar Bear Lodge! This includes guests who are already booked.
So if you would like to find out more about seeing these incredible bears and the adventures/Safaris on offer, even an adventure to incorporate seeing the great northern lights, then please contact us on 01323 446550 or firstname.lastname@example.org
