Shedding the pounds in Madagascar
We are all thinking about getting rid of those extra pounds/kilos that we put on over the feastive season and dreading the process. Here is a different way of exercising the “extras” off and at the same time explore the fourth largest island in the world and end up with a great suntan.
A toned, bronzed body and a host of memories will take some beating.
Join one of the Barefoot Luxury Kayak Adventures that are being launched this March. It is a mixture of a few days at a luxury lodge on the coast and then to a luxury camp on the coast in some of Madagascar’s most beautiful beaches.
At the latter you will have the chance to kayak through the mangrove and along the coast in to some of the most secluded and untouched areas of Madagascar. Do not worry if you have never been on a kayak before, you will learn the basic skills very quickly and will soon be setting the pace that suits you. A guided paddle through the mangrove will have you reaching for your camera time after time and learning about how important this ecosystem is to the health of the seas.
Paddling uses every muscle in the upper body and some of the lower body muscles as well. And all this exercise is a low impact work out!
Madagascar has so much to offer in the way of unusual wildlife and experiences, friendly people and still a relatively different destination that it is truly worth considering for your next holiday.
