Canada in 2013
Think ahead and on to summer 2013, Canada is full of wonderful places to visit and with many accommodation prices held at a similar rate to this year, now is the time to start thinking of where in Canada you want to visit. If you are looking for a family or couples adventure, scenic self drive touring through unspoilt regions and wilderness, following food and wine routes and plenty of wildlife, then Canada is for you – here’s just a few ideas to whet your appetite.
People’s first thoughts are often the Rocky Mountains with beautiful scenery, lakes, mountains and activities such as rafting, horse riding and kayaking this is easily combined with the city of Vancouver and travel to Vancouver Island. With plenty of extras for the second or third time visitor – take time to enjoy one of the many rail journeys or take a ferry cruise through the inside passage.
Not wanting to fly so far, well consider Atlantic Canada, with a flight of around 5 hours this is so easily accessible. Made up of the provinces of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland – on your travels through these parts you could encounter rugged scenic coastlines, unspoilt wilderness, rich music traditions, villages and harbour towns, whale watching and icebergs floating by.
Perhaps eastern Canada and the provinces of Quebec and Ontario will suit, beautiful scenery, family adventures to include wilderness camping, kayaking and canoeing, fantastic food and great cities such as the old walled Quebec City, buzzing Montreal, and Toronto along with Niagara Falls.
And don’t forget that Canada is great for winter with plenty of world class skiing on offer, along with winter adventures to include husky dog sledding and snow mobiling through fresh and unspoilt tracks.
