A Water Safari in Mozambique

If you want a truly unique safari, then consider an island hopping trip in a dhow – going through the mainland waterways and stunningly beautiful islands of the Quarimbas.
Your safari starts as you step off the plane in Pembe, Northern Mozambique and are met by one of your crew. Drive down to the harbour and set sail. The next 4 days sees you sailing (or motoring if the winds will not behave) through the islands and untouched mangrove forests of the mainland and perhaps up the rivers. Plenty of opportunities for you to fish, dive, snorkel and kayak in the warm waters of the Indian Ocean. The agenda is yours and the rest of the travellers (few in numbers – you cannot get too many on a dhow!) with guidance from the skipper and crew.
As the day dies, you will find a beach or deserted island and then, as you sip a drink, the crew set up your camp and start cooking your very fresh and delicious dinner. With a host of stars above you and the sea lapping the shore a short distance away, falling asleep should not be a problem.
Your safari ends as you sail in to Ibo Island and a short walk has you at the Ibo Island Lodge, your home for the next 3 nights on a full board basis. It also includes guided tours of the Ibo Island.
Truly a week of change, excitement and with a uniqueness that will ensure your friends will wished that they had joined you.
