Un-Cruise have launched two very exciting new itineraries starting late 2016 exploring Costa Rica and Panama. Both for 7 nights:

Pure Panama: Cultures, Coasts & Canal is solely exploring Panama with its native cultures and colonizers, history as colourful as the many humming birds, tropical wildlife with loads of adventure. Its abundance enticed conquistadores and pirates, gold prospectors and canal builders like George Washington Goethels who over saw the completion of the Panama Canel in 1914. Like those before, you set sail on a conquest to take in the rich culture and natural wonders of Panama.

Uncharted Isthmus! Sloths, Monkeys & Mangroves will take you from Costa Rica to Panama another adventure cruise along the Panama Canal. As the first to see the legendary MardelSur, Vasco Balboa walked into the ‘southern sea’ claiming it for Spain. Hoping to find gold and pearls, it had taken Balboa and his small company of men three weeks to cross the Isthmus of Panama. It is your turn to discover these wondrous lush lands, though your journey will be anything but arduous as you set sail between two seas – gathering unforgetable memories exploring wildlife, wetlands, jungle forests.
Don’t miss out on these new fantastic cruises and why not incorporate them into an even bigger bespoke tailor made adventure holiday finishing with the perfect place to relax!! For more ideas on the best way to do this please call us on 01323 446550 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
Now is the perfect time to see grizzly bears in their natural habitat in the forests of Canada.
So if you go down to the woods near Tweedsmuir Park Lodge you may just come across a grizzly bear picnic as they come to the lower lodge lawns to graze on the clover and grass. You may even be able to do some bear watching from the lodge or the comfort of your private cabin.
Tweedsmuir Park Lodge can be found in the Bella Coola Valley, and borders the Atnarko River, where the bears come to in the autumn to feast on the spawning salmon. It is one of the Magnificent seven luxury wilderness lodges in Canada.
As well as bear watching you can join in other activities including river drifts, guided nature walks, salmon fishing, heli hiking and cruising the fjords. For those budding photographers out there you can even take part ina photography course (only available on certain dates) and get loads of great tips on how to get that perfect picture to take home and show friends and family.
With only eleven cabins, spaces are limited and getting booked up for next year already so call us on 01323 446550 or email email@example.com to avoid disappointment and book your bespoke, tailor made trip to see the grizzlies.
Most of us think of cold, snowy scenes when we think of polar bears, but few people realise the summer is also a great time to see these incredible animals.
Churchill Wild offer fantastic opportunities in Manitoba, Canada to see polar bears, along with other wildlife such as wolves, moose, caribou and pine martens. They have several Arctic safaris which are perfect for this. They have three remote lodges located directly on the Hudson Bay, which are some of the only places on the planet that you can walk with the polar bears and other wildlife.
As well as observing the animals in their natural habitat there are some safaris that are led by professional photographers giving you advice on how to get that perfect picture to show to friends and family back home.
If you want to combine wildlife spotting with activities and seeing the Northern Lights, then Churchill Wild have a brand new safari called ‘Lights in the Wild’. This only runs once a year, in March, and numbers are very limited so it’s best to book early to avoid disappointment. You can enjoy activities such as snowshoeing, ice fishing, dog sledding and snowmobiling, even try Arctic ‘camping’ with an Inuit family!
Whether you choose to go in the summer or winter, places on these safaris are limited. So for a truly unique experience contact us today on 01323 446550 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information on how you can tailor make your Arctic break.
For those of you that have been on safari you will know that it is not exactly a relaxing experience. The early morning starts, being on the lookout for the wildlife and the general roughness of the terrain ensure that you do not nod off. The lodges and camps that you stay at are often very comfortable but you will keep an eye on what is happening at the waterhole in front.
So perhaps a few days of R&R after the safari would ensure a great finish to a magical holiday. Just a short flight away or a 4 hour drive from the Nelspruit South of the Kruger National Park you could be stepping on a speed boat in Maputo marina (Mozambique) to take you to Machangulo Beach Lodge.

An hour later (and possibly escorted by dolphins part of the way) you will cross the silver sands to your luxurious room and the start of your unwind. This is true Indian Ocean unspoilt and ideal for doing very little other than enjoy yourself. There is also a spa to add to your enjoyment. As you would expect food is fresh, delicious and influenced by Southern African recipes. Not surprisingly, fish features strongly but there is plenty of other dishes on the menu.
For those with a wish to explore then there are deserted beaches almost in all directions and safe bathing areas. Add in snorkelling and diving on pristine reefs and a huge array of colourful corals and fish which will keep you heading back to the sea.
Walks in the dunes and the forests are right at hand and exploring these gives you a different experience altogether. Visit one of the local communities with a guide and perhaps pick up your souvenirs from the little shops found here.
For those that enjoy their fishing or those wanting to try sea fishing then the Lodge offers surf fishing, deep sea fishing and night fishing – all subject to weather and sea conditions.
All in all, a wonderful way to finish your Southern African adventure.
I know it seems a long way off yet but if you are starting to think about your 2017 holiday why not look at something unique – sailing through the Panama Canal on a ship that carries just 64 passengers.
During this seven night cruise you will start off in Panama City. From there you will have an amazing opportunity to experience the untouched Darién Jungle. You will explore the Punta Patiño Nature Reserve on foot and travel down the Mogue River by motorised dugout canoe. Your expedition guide will be on hand to help you identify the many species of wildlife that live in the jungle.
Explore the flora and fauna of the mostly uninhabited Pearl Islands. At certain times of the year this is where you will be able to see dolphins and humpbacks so keep your eyes peeled.
At the Mira Flores Locks you will travel the 48 miles of the Panama Canal as you go between the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. You will learn the history of this important waterway with a presentation from the Panama Canal Authority.
Take a step back in time as you walk among the battlements and canon of San Lorenzo Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The Changres River is Panama’s largest river and was the used to transport the Incan gold in Colonial times. As you experience the river first hand by paddle board and kayak look out for the hundreds of birds and other wildlife that surround you.
Ever had the dream of being on a stunning white sand beach surrounded by nothing but palm trees then this will become a reality as you visit some of the 360 islands that make up Guna Yala. Experience daily life as you visit a village and spend time with the locals. Visit the market and buy a souvenir or a gift for friends and family.
This is a new cruise and with only 32 cabins don’t wait as it’s likely to sell quickly, call us today on 01313 446550 or email: email@example.com for more information about your next bespoke tailor made adventure.
